Join Us on an Exciting Tour of Mikumi National Park and the Udzungwa Mountains

Located in the heart of Tanzania, the vast plains of Mikumi National Park are home to an array of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and baboons. Beyond Mikumi, on this tour, you’ll also explore one of the largest mountain ranges in East Africa, the Udzungwa Mountains. On a tour of this stunning range, you will get to explore rainforests and grasslands filled with exotic wildlife, take in breathtaking views of the African savanna, and learn about Maasai culture and the history of the region.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

We’ll pick you up at your accommodation in Dar es Salaam around 5 am and drive 6 hours to Mikumi National Park, with a stop for lunch in the town of Morogoro.

You’ll arrive in Mikumi National Park in the late afternoon and head out for a game drive. You’ll be able to view wildlife in different areas of the park, including the Mkata plain, the Kisungura area, and the Hippo Dams.

After that, we’ll proceed to the lodge for dinner.

DAY 2

After an early breakfast at 7 am, we’ll drive to Udzungwa National Park and set out on a long hike to Sanje Waterfalls. You’ll experience the spectacular beauty of the park by swimming in the natural pond of the waterfalls.

After this magnificent adventure, we’ll take you to a local Maasai village where you’ll experience traditional dance, visit local houses, learn about everyday life, shop for Maasai handcrafts, and take photos.

We’ll return to your lodge for sunset and dinner.

DAY 3

After breakfast at 6 am, we’ll start on an early safari to see more wildlife. This game drive will go all the way to the afternoon when you’ll leave the park on your route back to Dar es Salaam.

You’ll stop for lunch in the town of Morogoro, 2 hours away from Mikumi National Park.

We’ll drop you off at your hotel late in the evening
